Hello, and welcome!

If you have stumbled upon this blog, it is likely because you are looking for a way to learn how to cope with carrying around a lot of pain from your past.  Pain that was inflicted on you when you were a child, and unable to make sense of anything.  While I am glad you are here, I am sorry that you have been through such a trauma that has led us to cross paths here in cyberspace.

I am not a social worker, therapist, psychologist, psychotherapist, nor psychiatrist.  I am, simply, a survivour, just like you.  My only goal here is to give other survivours a place to safely talk about their experiences, to share their stories in a hate-free and judgment-free place.  Know that whatever you share here, if you choose to remain anonymous, you are more than welcome to do precisely that!  You have every right to your voice.  My goal here is, simply, to give you space to do that.

You aren't alone.  I grew up being openly resented, too, by the very people who should've been teaching me how to have solid confidence, self-esteem, and a positive self-image.

I want you to know some things:

  • No matter how awful you were treated prior to this moment, you have just as much of a right to be here on this earth as anyone else.

  • No matter what you were led to believe before, and no matter how long that ugliness was drilled into you prior to this moment, you absolutely do matter.

  • Despite whatever nasty things you were told about yourself by the very people who were supposed to legitimately love you, you are beautiful, you have a right to be treated with respect and kindness.

  • No matter how out-of-place you have been feeling, you have a "home" here.

Most of all, I want you to know:

You deserve better.  You have a right to have better.  You deserve to be here.  You have a right to be here.  You are seen, you are loved beyond measure, and you are wanted.
