Who am I?

Hello. My name is Rea.  I am a survivour of abuse, since childhood, but I have been working as hard as I can on learning how to not let it define me.  My abuse is not my identity, but it is, unfortunately, nonetheless a part of me.

A part of my life that I have had in my path to work past.

To overcome.

Like a pothole.

Fortunately, I have had some pretty amazing people over the years help me to avoid the potholes, and when I have stumbled into them, I've had people fish me out, help me dust myself off, and walk alongside me on my journey, ever-present, ever-reminding me that I'm not alone.

And that is my goal here, when I created this page, to offer you, Reader, a way to have a reminder, a digital "touchstone", as it were, that you, yourself, are not alone, either.

Whether your journey to healing is just beginning, or whether you're well into your journey, I want you to know that I am proud of you for taking those steps to keep going.

Please always remember, YOU MATTER.  No matter what anyone has ever tried to do to convince you otherwise:  YOU HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HERE, JUST LIKE ANYONE ELSE!
